Betty Franklin PhotoKudos to Betty Franklin! Betty receives the IPNIG education award in the amount of $200.00 for her upcoming presentation at a RNAO nursing event. Betty, an accomplished Registered Nurse, now adds successful author to her portfolio. Betty submitted an abstract to the RNAO upcoming conference "Nursing: Caring to Know, Knowing to Care" taking place in Jerusalem, June 4-7, 2012. Her accepted abstract was based on her soon to be published book - G.U.T.S. “Getting Uncomfortable to Succeed”, promoting health and self responsibility.

The first international nursing conference entitled: "Nursing: Caring to Know, Knowing to Care" is taking place in Jerusalem, June 4-7, 2012. The conference is a joint effort of Nursing at the Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center and the Canadian Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO). This unique professional meeting will provide an opportunity for nurses to share leading nursing interventions and ideas in various topics from all over the world. It will also serve as a platform for an open dialogue among the best minds of nursing research, practice, education and policy to promote nursing skills and talents in this era.

Our IPNIG member, Betty Franklin, will be attending the conference as a presenter. Her oral presentation titled, “Let It Begin With Me”, articulates how the wellness principles we often ignore, cause illness and disease. With a focus on being “the best you can be”, her presentation empowers, engages and encourages people to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency as it relates to their health and life.

Betty promotes healthy living and improved life outcomes within six key areas. “Let It Begin With Me” incorporates a unique approach with an array of healthy tips and concepts presented in a serious, yet light-hearted and a fun way to promote a healthy, balanced and abundant life.

IPNIG sends congratulations and good luck on your presentation!
