Kaitlin Marriner Brulotte

The Nursing Agency’s founder, Colleen Scanlan, RN RAc. BScN is a nurse with 38 years of Kaitlin began her health care career in 2001 as a health care aide in long term care. She graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2012. She immediately began working as an RN in long term care and quickly progressed to the management team as Staff Coordinator for a 300-bed home on an interim contract.

In 2014, she worked as an occupational nurse at a staffing company. In 2015, she recognized her wish to branch off and work independently, and decided to go back to school. In 2016, she authored a how-to book titled “Stepmom Survival Guide”, using a family systems approach to helping women manage stress and strive in a stepfamily setting.

In 2018 she graduated from Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She presently runs an independent counselling practice “KMB Counselling & Psychotherapy” with an emphasis on mental health in people over 65 years of age, stepfamilies and empowerment strategies. She has served as a board member to the Alzheimer’s Society and Military Family Resource Centre.

Kaitlin has volunteered for the Ottawa Girls Hockey Association of Ottawa as a hockey trainer for the past 6 years. She lives in Chelsea, QC with her husband, two step-daughters and 3 dogs.
