Bowen Training Academy/Bowen Pain Clinic

Janet Riley, a Registered Nurse has spent the last 15 years training with instructors in Bowen Therapy in Europe, Australia, US and Canada to bring her patients the best in patient care using this innovative pain therapy. At her clinic in Belleville, Ontario, www.bowenpainclinic.com, she sees patients from newborns to the elderly, from colic to bunions and pain or diminished organ function anywhere in the body. “It is very rewarding to be a part of the primary health care system affecting patient’s lives on a daily basis. Often I am the first health care provider they see with a concern, and as a nurse I’m able to refer to other providers, when appropriate so they receive the care they need. As an RN in independent practice, I am able to reach patients that might not have sought appropriate health care otherwise”.

Janet also teaches Bowen therapy to health professionals and the public offering a worldwide certification program, www.bowentrainingacademy.com using nursing skills and knowledge to guide her students in offering safe and effective pain management to their clients. She has a special interest in guiding nurses in the establishment of their own practice based on her own experience of 15 years in independent practice.

Prior to discovering Bowen therapy she worked in orthopaedics, geriatric rehabilitation and outpost nursing in the high Arctic. She looks forward to sharing and networking with other nurses in independent practice or those who have an interest in learning more about it.
